Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach, CA - A Dog's Vacation!
Are you the proud owner of a Long Beach dog that is bored and tired of the same routine? Is it the same trip around the block, day after day, week after week, mostly consisting of him/her sitting there while you yack to neighbors about the latest thing little Timmy or Rebecca did? Why not try Rosie's Dog Beach or one of the many dog parks in Long Beach?
Like humans, dogs need socialization, interaction, mental and physical stimulation. It's because of this, Long Beach has gone to the dogs! There are now 5 designated dog zones consisting of four dog parks and a dog beach in the city of Long Beach! Your dog can frolic, play, meet new friends while at the same time, releasing the day's stress of not being able to catch the mailman, paper route boy or the squirrel that taunts him/her relentlessly.

This is nice post. My dogs (Poppy & Molly) love the beach. Only thing is . . . it's about an hour drive out from Portland. In Long Beach, the beach is so close. The routine would be the beach every day if I lived there!! The first picture is great. The wind-swept hair . . . LOL
LOL I love that photo too! Well when you end up here many years from now at either the International Tower, the Villa Riviera or a spanish style villa in California Heights, we'll meet up with our canine kids. I do not currently have pets, but have always fancied two Shitzus named Miss Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) for when the time comes. :)
Aw look how much fun these pooches have running around with their pals !!! We have a Doggy Day Care Center here which makes for fun stays for doggys too. Now, play dates on the beach ? ... that would REALLY be a treat ! Sounds like Long Beach really looks after the pups !
Cheers Andi !
Sheldon
Andi - great job in getting out the word where folks in Long Beach can get out to play with their pooches. I, too, love that first picture!!
Hi Sheldon! Dogs are very well treated here! During our Belmont Stroll and Savor where people get to sample over 30 restaurants food and specialty items, there were a couple of places that had various samples for dogs. lol
Lottie, when I went to the dog beach a few weeks ago, I had never seen tails wagging like that before! Those were some very happy dogs!
Andi: This is a really cute and fun Localism post. I hope it works wonders for you in the Rain ... =)
Great post! I love Dog Beaches! Everyone looks sooo happy...including the humans!! :)
Aaron - I missed the notification that you had posted. Thank you so much!
Janice - thanks! Yes, it's like watching proud mamas and papas with their kiddies at a recital.
